Plagiarism Policies
The Editorial Committee of the journal Visionarios en Ciencia y Tecnología has established an editorial policy that articles submitted to the journal for publication evaluation must have cited and referenced all consulted sources, and will be subjected to plagiarism detection software to check for similarity with those sources.
The plagiarism percentage established by the journal is zero. All sources consulted for the preparation of the files submitted to the journal must be cited in the work. Therefore, if plagiarism is detected, the submitted manuscript will be rejected.
The journal Visionarios en Ciencia y Tecnología uses TURNITIN software to detect percentages of similarity with information sources published on the internet.
The received files, before their registration in the system, will be submitted by the Editorial Committee to the Turnitin program. Manuscripts that are within the established similarity percentage will be registered in the system, enter the editorial process, and begin the peer-review process.
Only articles with a maximum of 30% similarity with other publications will be accepted, provided that this similarity is not entirely composed of several consecutive paragraphs, excluding bibliographic references.
Articles that exceed this percentage will be returned to the author with the corresponding report so that the author can make the respective corrections and, if the author deems it appropriate, resubmit it to tha journal Visionarios en Ciencia y Tecnología for publication evaluation, considering it a new submission and subjecting it to the processes established by the journal
A similarity percentage higher than that established by the journal will only be allowed when the author indicates that the manuscript comes from their Bachelor's, Professional Title, Master's, Doctoral, or Professional Second Specialty Thesis, which has been adapted to the article format indicated in the Author Guidelines.
