Effect of using a mouthwash based on natural substances on the length of stay in hospital for patients Covid-19.

Objective: To evaluate the effect of using a mouthwash based on natural substances on the length of stay in hospital for Covi-19 patients. Material and Methods: Applied observational experimental study. For the statistical analysis of the length of stay and comparative analysis of patients hospitalized with Covid-19 who used the rinse and those who did not, the Student T test was used. Results: The average hospitalization time for Covid-19 patients who did not use mouthwash was 10.14 days, while in Covid-19 patients who used mouthwash, the hospitalization time was 8.78 days, however, the difference found It was not statistically significant. (p=0.155). Conclusions: The use of mouthwash based on natural substances reduced the length of hospital stay of patients admitted for Covid 19 by 1.36 days.
